Selina is a Hatha Yoga teacher (RYT 500 hours) and therapist (RYT 100 hours), certified by The Yoga Institute, Mumbai to teach all levels of practitioners. TYI is accredited to the Government of India (Ministry of AYUSH) as also to Yoga Alliance overseas.

Selina began her journey in classical Hatha Yoga practice and philosophy in 2010, exploring diverse styles and practice methods through short-term trainings in Yoga, Ayurveda, Vedanta and Meditation at established institutes across India. These include the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Nataraja Centre in New Delhi, Kaivalyadham Yoga Institute and Research Centre in Mumbai/Lonavala, the (formerly known as) K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Research Centre in Mysore and Atma Darshan’s Studies in Vedanta (online). She is also a Member-Volunteer at the Indian Yoga Association.

Selina’s ongoing experience of the physical, emotional and spiritual benefits of yoga have led her to take an active interest in social welfare initiatives. She has participated in the global Prison Yoga Project, by taking a comprehensive training module for teaching yoga and breathing techniques to prison inmates. She is also an active contributor to the Panvel-based EmpowHer India Foundation, a charity that focuses on education, health and financial inclusion for rural women in the western Indian state of Maharashtra.

In March 2021, Selina qualified as an advanced-level teacher (RYT 500 hours) of Hatha Yoga from The Yoga Institute, Mumbai, eligible to teach Hatha Yoga practice and philosophy to all age groups. TYI is accredited to the Government of India (Ministry of AYUSH) as also to Yoga Alliance overseas.
